The basic theme of this department's education and research is the management and planning of a human living environment from a practical point of view. To this end, we aim to: 1) cultivate the ability to discover diverse problems inherent to the human living environment; 2) cultivate the ability to solve those problems and; 3) cultivate the ability to comprehensively coordinate the solution of the problems and to plan, propose, and formulate a living environment, living resources, and living methods desirable to human beings.
