Humanities Division

In the Faculty of Literature, we also have classes conducted by teaching staff in the Humanities Division, a professional group of educators who carry out fieldwork around the world to study human cultures and societies from various points of view.
At present, there are General Education classes including foreign languages, health sciences and so on, as well as elective classes for students of the Departments of Japanese Literature and Departments of English literature, together with classes for teacher training. Our teaching staff are very active in responding to the students’ needs and interests.
A unified four-year curriculum has been developed for undergraduate students, who, as citizens of the world, can develop critical views and comprehensive judgment in order better to participate in an age of internationalization, information technology, and environmental concerns.
