Women’s Lifelong Learning Research Center
The Women’s Lifelong Learning Research Center developed out of the Women’s Lifelong Education Reference Library established in 1985, the last year of the “International Decade for Women.” It was renamed when the university was transformed into a Public University Corporation in 2006. Our purpose, in common with the fundamental policy of the university, is to support lifelong education and career education for women looking ahead to their future. Along with educational support for young women looking for jobs, we often hold extension courses and provide information and materials available lifelong learning, thus assisting not only older women in general but also students.
Our annually provided courses include a Saturday extension course (10 lectures), spring and autumn extension courses (6 lectures), lecture meetings and other offerings. In these courses, the teaching staff of our university deliver various lectures based on their research to meet the needs of lifelong learning in our society. |

Information Center
The university’s LAN (local area network) system is used to access the Internet. Numerous terminals are available for use in the information processing seminar room and the university library, and students can use them freely. Besides word-processing and other data processing, students have access all kinds of information worldwide collected by e-mail and the web for their learning and studies. We administer the school LAN system and the data processing facility with the goal of constantly improving capabilities. |

Career Support Center
Our Career Support Center was established on April 1, 2007. The center aims to develop students’ career consciousness, to help in their job hunting and to provide them with a secure foundation for their college careers as well. We help all of our students both to determine what they want to be in the future and to advance their academic goals, which will eventually lead them to a better future and career.
Our career education program, “Career Education for a Gender-equal Society” (CE at Fukuoka Women’s University), has been selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for its “Support Program for Modern Educational Needs” (MGP) in 2007. |
