Japanese Studies for International Students

We conduct special classes for International students to nurture the knowledge and skills necessary to study at a Japanese university. The Japanese language classes will develop language skills to the point sudents can take part in regular classes. A systematically organized study of Japanese vocabulary, sentence patterns and useful expressions enables students to take notes in class and to give presentations in Japanese. In various classes, students learn about Japanese culture and society through discussion with Japanese students. We aim to provide a deeper understanding of Japanese language and culture in order to make college life in Japan more rewarding and enjoyable.

The International Center

The International Center has as its primary goal helping our students gain a better understanding of the world’s many cultures through interesting and enjoyable exchanges. With scholarships and other efforts, the Center is currently supporting short-term study-abroad trips to California (USA) and Auckland (New Zealand). The Center also provides assistance for students wishing to do independent study abroad or take part in overseas volunteer projects such as environmental conservation. In addition, the Center welcomes many visitors from abroad, providing language tutoring, guided tours, social activities, etc. to groups such as those from the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies who come each year. In the current era of globalization, the International Center’s role is a vital one for the fostering of tomorrow’s women leaders.
